Amanda Sage

Amanda Sage is an artist driven to contribute to the development of regenerative culture by using painting as a tool for transformation.

Amanda studied classical painting under Michael Fuchs in Austria, then carried on as a painting assistant to Ernst Fuchs for 10 years while developing her style as a resident artist at the culture house WUK in Vienna.

In 2009 she landed in Los Angeles and integrated into the Visionary Art and festival movement, then began hosting workshops, lecturing and exhibiting worldwide. 2013 she launched the Amanda Sage Collection with designer Shabnam Q.

Her work is in the collection of the Kirkland Museum in Denver and featured in Meow Wolf Las Vegas. In 2021 she was given her first solo museum show at Mesa Contemporary Art Museum in Arizona.

Amanda is on the board of directors of CoSM, Alex & Allyson Grey’s art sanctuary in New York and leads annual painting intensives there with her partner Joe Bob Merritt.

In 2020 she initiated the Vision Train as an international creative space station on Zoom and in 2022 the ViTra Academy was born, continuing the lineage passed on from Ernst Fuchs to empower artists with tools to explore Visionary Art.
