Odara

The Universe Within

Odara started practicing yoga 11 years ago after a severe car accident that resulted in acute neck pain. Initially it was a means to heal the body, and over time it has developed into a practice of growth, service, and self-realization. She studied Hatha, Ashtanga, and vinyasa flow in Kerala, India, where she got her certification in 2017. Odara’s classes are infused with meditation, body awareness, rhythmic breathing, deep explorations of alignment in each pose, sound frequencies, and yogic philosophy. Ultimately the purpose of each class is to tap into our inner universe with offerings of gratitude, peace, kindness, compassion, and love.

Aside from teaching yoga she travels to contribute to humanitarian efforts, speaks about action for the environment, makes and shares plant-based foods, and grounds with the earth by growing food and playing with her two dogs, Amor and Paz. She stands in solidarity against violence towards people, animals, or Pachamama.

Odara is also a full time high school science teacher with a focus on Chemistry, Environmental Studies, and Public and Community Health. She obtained her masters in teaching from USC in 2013. She aims to consciously infuse the practice of inner yoga to all aspects of a life in service.
